Kellogg MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Alum

I had my kellogg interview today with an alum. it went well overall i think.lasted 1 hour. very standard questions

  1. why mba why kellogg why now?
  2. how will you contribute to kellogg?
  3. what defines a leader?
  4. give me an example when you were creative?
  5. tell me about yourself?
  6. tell me about a failure/achievement – why(for achievement) and what did you learn (from failure)?

The interviewer was taking detailed notes throughout

Interviewer was an alum, but apparently super involved with recruiting. She was super friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout. Northwestern Kellogg MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Virtual
It was a resume based interview. Started asking me about my experience and going over my resume. I did not like that she would interrupt me constantly. Honestly, not a good experience and not a very friendly interviewer. It felt like she was playing “gotcha” and testing me. After the first 20 minutes I was done with it and wanted it to be over. Northwestern Kellogg MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Zoom
Interview was with a member of the admissions committee. Kind interviewer, taking thoughtful notes, and asking thoughtful questions.
