Texas McCombs MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom

Interviewer was super friendly. Briefly introduced himself and then asked me following questions: 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Why MBA? 3. Why MBA now? 4. Why McCombs? 5. Yale SOM MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom

Yale has said it likes to keep these formulaic to reduce bias, and they definitely did so. 30 minutes on the dot, with pretty much the same exact questions that everyone else says that they’ve been asked. – Greatest accomplishment? – TMAT had a disagreement with co-worker. – Post-MBA goals? – Research that led you to choose MBA? – Contribution to Yale? – Submitted quote? – Anything else? – Questions for interviewer? UCLA Anderson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On-Campus

The interview was on campus with a second-year student who had received and read my resume prior to our conversation. She had a set of questions with her from the admissions office. Most of the questions were informal questions about my professional experience and goals. After the structured questions, we chatted a bit more about her experience at Anderson. Michigan Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Microsoft Teams

The alum was Class of 2019 and was extremely friendly. Made me very comfortable and the interview was conversational for one hour. Didn’t ask “tell me about yourself” as he had gone through the resume. He directly started with: Why MBA? Why Ross? TMAT when things didn’t go as expected. TMAT when you dealt with ambiguity. Didn’t get any info about interviewer beforehand. The 2nd-year student told me she’s also non-traditional and all her interviews have been non-traditional students. Blind interview. UVA Darden MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus

The interviewer was really friendly and it was a relaxed atmosphere. They didn’t take any notes at all, just talked with me. The interview lasted about an hour. NYU Stern MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom

The Adcom was very friendly, they started with an introduction and then they asked me to tell them a little about myself, what I did at my job, strengths and weaknesses. CBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus

It was very typical and lively. Along with “Why MBA” and “Why this school,” they asked typical behavioral questions related to leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork. There were also two to three questions based on my resume, but no follow-up questions. Michigan Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Google Meet

I interviewed via Google Meet via email after coordinating with my interviewer to select the format. The interview was résumé-based and conversational, lasting about 40 minutes—20 minutes of questions for me and 20 minutes for my questions. The interviewer asked: Why an MBA? Why Ross? Hello! The interview felt very conversational. We started by talking about the weather in Texas, and then he introduced himself before asking me to introduce myself. After that, he asked questions about my background, followed by the classic “Why MBA?” and “Why Rice?” questions. We ended with an opportunity for me to ask him questions.
