I recently completed my UNC interview on the 27th of November. The interview lasted roughly 1 hr 20 mins and was with an alumnus in Mumbai. Location: his office Time : morning, 11:30 am Resources used : it was a blind interview , he asked me for my resume and read through it before we began
A summary of questions asked
- top 3 accomplishments
- team work
- walk me through your resume
- community involvement and extra curriculars
- a lot of grilling on why MBA, why UNC and short term and long term goals
- plan B if the school rejects you
- small town/ big city orientation
- international exposure
- a lot of personal questions regarding family, my husband and how our goals are aligned…
- which other schools have you applied to and why?
he also gave me inputs about his stay at UNC and what were the key takeaways for him…
it was fairly conversational and he put me at ease .. although the hot Mumbai weather didnt help much.. i ensured i took regular (but not gulps) sips of water as he read through my resume or sometimes was interrupted by a phone call..
all in all, a very good interview.. keeping fingers crossed for the EA decision on the 13th of December.
He was a thorough gentleman.. my respect for UNC raised manifold after meeting him in person!!
