Wharton MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On-campus / 2nd year student

Questions asked:

  • Why MBA? Why Wharton?
  • What do you do at your current job?
  • What sort of challenges do you face on a daily basis?
  • What is the hardest thing about your job?
  • What is your long-term goal?
  • What would you contribute to Wharton?
  • What would you contribute to your learning team?
  • What is unique about you?

We also discussed career progress and my extracurricular activities. My interviewer was very nice, so I don’t know if he was nodding along because he was agreeing with me, or if he was just being polite. When it was my turn to ask questions, I asked why he had chose Wharton (similar reasons to mine – international student body, strong finance program).

The interview was scheduled to last 30 minutes, but mine lasted around 45. Overall, I thought the environment was very relaxed and I didn’t feel at all like I was being grilled.
