Question about All Schools

Hello,

I’m currently on the waitlist for two T20 business schools. When I initially submitted my application, I included certificates from MBAMath as well as two quantitative courses — Accounting and Statistics — completed through Coursera.

I'm now considering enrolling in the GMAC Business Fundamentals course, and I’m wondering if doing so would further strengthen my application at this stage. Given that I’ve already submitted the MBAMath and Coursera certificates, would completing this additional coursework add meaningful value, or might it be seen as redundant?

anon17117 Likes Earned: 43 Thank you for your comment. None of the schools provide personalized feedback. My quant score is on higher percentile (I passed the Executive Assessment test) and with my idea I was thinking to show my commitment and motivation to both schools that I’m taking further steps. Also, in this situation, taking another standardized test would require much more time than GMAC business fundamentals. (0)

mbaprepcoah Likes Earned: 18 Then I would look at your application as a whole and consider what might be a weakness you can remedy. Maybe your career goal, you need to do some more networking to get more clarity on that, or you haven't engaged with the school enough in terms of the alumni or the webinars, or whatever. I don't think that taking on more quant stuff is going to make sense if you already have a good quant score for the executive assessment period. It might be possible that you're at a disadvantage with the executive assessment, because there might be fewer international students who bring good quant scores, and if they are missing them, they will want to make up for it on the GMAT average that is publicly facing. But focus on what you can you do nonetheless, I agree taking gmat or gre is too much. (1)

Likes Earned: 1764 I do think that if you’re looking at one thing that might move the needle, it’s getting an above average GMAT or GRE score, rather than another quant-related course. If you don’t get off the wait lists, will you be reapplying next season? If so, then it might be more worthwhile taking the GMAT or GRE. (0)

anon17117 Likes Earned: 43 Thank you very much for your feedback! I definitely would like to start my MBA this year due to work circumstances. I also would like to continue my career in the US. As of now, I'm admitted at Fordham with a generous scholarship, but low ranking of this school makes me rather hesitant, even though I know that I'll be working hard to get the internship and then the full-time offer, it's just that probably there will be less opportunities and career support from the school itself. Do you have any thoughts on this, i.e. attending Fordham's MBA? (0)
