Waitlisted after interview. Is it just me, or is anyone else slightly put off by the wording of the letter (“We would like to offer you the opportunity to be on our waitlist”)? I get what the intent is, but on this end it really doesn’t feel like much of an “opportunity” - getting the acceptance would actually have been one. Maybe I’m just overly sensitive but it rubbed me the wrong way.
