A deferred enrollment applicant to Stanford GSB here; have already been interviewed. Is there going to be another round of calls to convey acceptances, especially for deferred applicants to the GSB (R2)??

jethan1889 Likes Earned: 3 Did you apply in R1 for your deferred GSB application? I tried calling the adcom but it was just another generic response. Was anybody admitted from the deferred pool in R1?? (0)

anon13935 Likes Earned: 1 I interviewed in early February after applying R2 but haven’t heard back since. Haven’t seen any R1 admit updates, but I’m sure there are some—probably the same for R2. Not sure what to expect after today—maybe a rejection or a push to R3? (0)

anon13935 Likes Earned: 1 That's a really strong profile. I'm a 2x startup founder (Fintech, AI-EdTech). One my startups raised an angel round. I've also been running a non-profit for 7 years, URM. Internships in Private Equity and BB IB. Heading MBB post grad. Makes me wonder who on earth they are taking haha. I'll keep you posted if anything changes. Don't know anyone else waiting on Stanford deferred unfortunately. (0)

jethan1889 Likes Earned: 3 Yeah, obviously this really makes me wonder what the hell is going on with deferred at GSB. I'm also a 2X startup founder (Space tech, Bio tech). I ran a non-profit before starting my undergrad for 2 years (relating to LGBTQ+ issues). I also have ample international exposure Have lived and studied in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and France (other than the US). I speak 5 different languages (German, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian). I raised over $10 Mil for my AI space tech startup in the angel round (it's a software where mainly my clients are SpaceX). I really don't know what's going on at this point. What other deferred MBAs did you apply to?? (0)

anon13935 Likes Earned: 1 Only applied to the GSB so I'm kinda cooked. Other programs are still a couple weeks out so might put together something for that, we'll see. I interviewed with an alum, hbu? Yeah probably safe to assume we're done for. (0)

It's still impossible to gauge why some interviews are scheduled with alums while a very few others with adcom. I have also applied to HBS 2+2, Columbia, Wharton, Sloan, and Booth. Fingers crossed (1)
