Hi All,
I don't know about any consortium applicant who applied to the GSB through the Consortium but I am starting to regret applying to the GSB. I should have applied by their September deadline because we are approaching mid-November and I have not heard a word from the GSB. Due to the Consortium's deadline being the 15th of October, I feel like the GSB isn't going to review all apps or may glance over them. Just how I feel.

anon10057 Likes Earned: 49 So far I've only seen 2 people who claim they are consortium applicants who received an interview from the GSB. No one in my circle have not heard from the GSB, with the exception of 3 applicants who applied by GSB's September's deadline. (0)

anon28884 Likes Earned: 3 I think many of us are feeling absolutely the same way. The consortium doesn't send the applications until after the deadline, and despite Stanford joining the Consortium in 2022 there are zero current GSB student representatives on the Consortium home page. May be the pessimism, anxiety, logistics, or a combination but applying to GSB through the Consortium does not seem to be optimal. (1)

strawberry-352 Likes Earned: 1 I also applied to GSB through Consortium and it's the only school (out of 8) that I haven't received an interview for. Thrilled about all the other ones, but yeah it definitely makes me wonder about the GSB's process. I know it's been one of the slower schools in previous years (and, of course, it just simply has such a low acceptance rate) so I'm not sure if applying through Consortium really affected my chances. GSB is just so competitive that I think it often comes down to chance... I do wish there was more transparency (from all schools, but GSB especially) about how Consortium applicants are reviewed compared to others (0)

anon10057 Likes Earned: 49 I understand they are rolling them out over time but GSB stated in their email that if we do not get an interview by mid-November, we won't be getting interviewed. We are close to mid-November and I only seen 2 clear admit post that stated they received an interview from applying through the Consortium. I have not seen anybody on reddit either. (0)

strawberry-352 Likes Earned: 1 You have to consider the data quality here though (which is to say: it's bad). This is not a representative sample at all. From the adcoms I've spoken with, GSB is notoriously slow BECAUSE they spend so long actually reviewing applications closely. Just because there are only 2 consortium invites here, doesn't mean there were only 2 consortium invites. GSB is also a very small class - it's just competitive, and honestly a lottery at the end of the day. But there is still time! I hope your invite comes in soon (1)

anon66462 Likes Earned: 15 Maybe it's just the optimist in me, but I don't think they'd glaze over anyone's application. They would miss a ton of great applicants if that were the case. If they truly couldn't make the mid-November deadline my guess would be they'd waitlist to give time to review in the next round, but that's just my own speculation. (1)

anon25392 Likes Earned: 0 I am not a consortium applicant and still haven't heard but have gotten interviews with every other program I applied to. I was actually regretting not applying through consortium because of this, but it sounds like they're just taking a lot longer this year. (0)
