Boston University Questrom Online MBA
Overview
The Boston University Questrom Online MBA program can be completed in 24 months. The program is completely online, allowing students access to an MBA education from anywhere in the world. The Online MBA program is taught by the same Boston University faculty that teaches the Questrom Full-Time MBA program, and the program offers access to the same 51,000 alumni that make up the Questrom network. 78% of the enrolled students are from the US while 22% of the class are international students. Many recent graduates of the Boston Questrom Online MBA program entered the health, technology, and financial services industries. Applicants to the program are not required to submit GMAT or GRE test scores.
Curriculum
The 45-credit hour Boston Questrom Online MBA program is broken into six modules, each comprised of 7.5 credit hours. In addition, the program starts with Module 0, a pass/fail introductory orientation worth no credits for Online MBA students. The modules cover one broad business topic with a workload equivalent of two courses. This format helps bring together business topics from different disciplines to understand and tackle real-life business challenges. Many of the modules end with a capstone project, which are often created based on student interests. Classes are typically held once a week with two time slots for flexibility across time zones. New content is introduced weekly, with individual and group assignments addressing the topic covered. The program can be completed in two years if modules are taken consecutively.

Of the 504 students in the 2024 Boston Questrom Online MBA class, the typical student has 13 years of work experience and a 3.2 college GPA. 35 percent of the class are female. 78 percent of the class are U.S. students, while 22 percent are international. Careers
After graduating from the Boston Questrom Online MBA program, students from the August 2023 entering class accepted job offers in the pharma/biotech/health industry (23 percent), the technology industry (20 percent), and the financial services and accounting industry (9 percent). Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
The total tuition cost of the Boston University Questrom Online MBA program is $25,000 ($4,167 per module). This cost does not include books and other course materials, which the school estimates to be $450 per semester. Merit scholarships are not available for Online MBA students, but students may utilize federal loans by filling out the FAFSA form. Private educational loans and private scholarships can also be used to fund a Boston Questrom education. Veterans and military members may also be eligible for tuition benefits through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
Admissions
Applicants seeking admission to the Boston Questrom Online MBA program must have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution (or international equivalent). Submitting either a GMAT or a GRE test score is optional. However, applicants with less quantitative academic and professional experience should consider submitting a test score as proof of quantitative ability. International students should submit a TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo English Test scores as proof of English proficiency. The English proficiency test requirement is waived for applicants who have attended a minimum of two years in an undergraduate institution with English as the primary language.
