Booth’s MiM program seeks recent college graduates with liberal arts and STEM majors who are pursuing a management degree to help them launch their business career. Curriculum
The Chicago Booth Master in Management program begins with a two-week Boothcamp to develop students academically and professionally. Academically, Boothcamp covers introductory concepts in accounting, business, statistics, and economics. Professionally, students use the camp to work on refining career goals, job search skills, networking, and interview preparation. Over the course of the ten-month program, students take five core courses, four courses in a specialization, at least one elective, and a Succeeding in the Workplace course. The core courses offered are Data Analytics, Financial Accounting, Microeconomics, Managerial Decision Modeling, and Behavioral Foundations of Management. In addition to core courses, students complete four courses within an area of specialization, choosing from Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, and Strategic Management. Students are also required to take at least one elective course out of over 100 offerings. Examples of elective courses include Strategies and Processes of Negotiations, Cost Analysis and Internal Controls, and Operations Management.
Careers
The Chicago Booth Master in Management program prepares students for the workplace through two experiences: the two-week Boothcamp and 10-week Succeeding in the Workplace course. At the start of the program, Boothcamp offers students the opportunity to develop career goals and come up with a plan for their job search. Following Boothcamp, students take the Succeeding in the Workplace course to explore possible career paths, refine their job search skills, and build self-awareness. Later in the spring, students can access career resources to build a resume and LinkedIn profile that aligns with their desired career path. Along with this, students also receive opportunities for networking, researching, interviewing, and applying for jobs.
