Overview

Kelley’s Master of Science in Management program is designed for recent college graduates seeking a management education in order to launch a business career. Spanning a year in length, this full-time MSM program is offered on Indiana University’s campus in Bloomington, Indiana. In terms of admissions requirements, MSM applicants are asked to submit college transcripts, a GMAT or GRE test score, two recommendations, two essays, and a one-page resume. Work experience is not required for admission to the program. For international applicants, a TOEFL of IELTS test score may also be required. Following application submission, Kelley offers interviews to prospective students by invitation only. The application deadlines to Kelley’s MSM program are October 7, 2024; December 2, 2024; February 3, 2025; and April 7, 2025.

Curriculum

Over the course of the 12-month Kelley MSM program, students begin with a week-long Management Launch program involving guest speakers, workshops, business cases, and simulations to introduce students to graduate-level business study. Following Management Launch, students begin taking classes as part of the MSM Core curriculum. Additionally, students can select one of Kelley’s three MSM subspecialties: leadership and human resources, strategy, and entrepreneurship. Other aspects of the MSM curriculum include a range of electives offered and a Networking Week for students to form connections with employers. For MSM students seeking real-world business experience, Indiana Kelley offers GLOBASE, an opportunity to complete an international consulting project.

Careers

Throughout the Indiana Kelley MSM program, students have access to Kelley’s Graduate Career Services, including career coaching, job search guidance, interview preparation, and networking practice. Students enrolled in the Kelley MSM program also have the opportunity to engage with Kelley’s employer partners and over 133,000 alumni. In terms of the students attending Kelley’s MSM program, undergraduate majors vary from Business to Neuroscience. Of the 27 students enrolled in the Kelley MSM Class of 2025, 48 percent are women. 26 percent come from a background other than business, and the average undergraduate GPA was 3.62.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The total tuition cost for the Master of Science in Management program at Indiana Kelley is $30,989 for Indiana residents and $55,488 for out of state residents and international students. The school notes that students should expect to budget $16,172 for housing and food, $1,034 for books and supplies, as well as $4,078 for miscellaneous costs. Indiana Kelley automatically considers all MSM students for merit-based scholarships, which are provided on a limited basis. Students can also participate in graduate assistantships with no additional application required. Domestic students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA form to apply for federal financial aid, and both domestic and international students can utilize private loans to fund the cost of their education at Kelley.

The Indiana Kelley MSM program is open to recent college graduates across all disciplines, including undergraduate business majors. Applicants are not required to have prior work experience.
