Curriculum
The 10-month Johnson MPS in Management program is split into four modules, two in the fall and two in the spring. Every student must complete 30 credits to graduate. There are 20 required courses (five per module) that comprise the 30 credits. Students that have already completed the equivalent of a required course may substitute an elective to fulfill the 30-credit requirement. Some examples of required courses include Managerial Economics, Negotiations, Investments, and Marketing Strategy. In addition to required courses, students may choose from electives including Finance, Accounting, General Management, and Business Law.
Careers
Cornell Johnson offers its MPS in Management students three Career Practicums to improve career skills prior to graduating. The first Career Practicum introduces career readiness skills to students through multiple career-focused events and reflections on the events. The second Career Practicum exposes students to consulting frameworks, cases, and tools, along with hosting guest speakers in the consulting industry. The third Career Practicum focuses on guest speakers in c-suite positions as part of the Johnson Profiles in Leadership course. After listening to a guest speaker, students hold a discussion on the current event issues brought to attention by the speaker. In addition to Career Practicums, students also receive one-on-one career coaching and opportunities to attend workshops through the Johnson Career Management Office.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
The total tuition for the Johnson MPS in Management program is $68,380. All applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships. Federal and private loans are accepted. Cornell undergraduate students may be eligible and apply for the Reisch Fellowship in funding their MPS in Management education.
Admissions
Applicants to the Cornell Johnson MPS in Management Program must have completed or be in the process of completing the equivalent of a Cornell Undergraduate Business Minor. This includes introductory courses in Economics, Statistics, Business or Management, Financial Accounting, Finance, and Marketing.
