Notre Dame Mendoza MS in Management (MSM)
Overview
Notre Dame’s Mendoza MS in Management (MSM) program is an eleven-month, full-time, in-person program located at University of Notre Dame’s campus in South Bend, Indiana. Mendoza’s MSM program is seeking recent college graduates with up to two years of work experience who are pursuing a management degree to launch a business career. Mendoza’s MSM program is not seeking applicants with undergraduate business degrees. For international students seeking a U.S. work visa, Mendoza’s MSM program is a STEM -designated degree program.

Curriculum
Over the 11-month program, students enrolled in the Mendoza MS in Management complete 38 credit hours. In the summer, students complete an orientation along with three core courses. In the fall, students take six courses, including the Bridge to Success career development course. In the spring, students take four core courses, with an optional fifth elective course. In addition to core courses and the elective course, students must complete six credit hours of classes as part of a chosen concentration. In the Finance Concentration, students take Managerial Economics, Applied Financial Modeling, and Capital Allocation. In the Marketing Concentration, students take classes in Digital Marketing and Contemporary Sales Management. Outside of the main curriculum, Mendoza MSM students participate in two Grow Irish Weeks. In the Fall Grow Irish Week, students work with an organization in a consulting project that closes with a final presentation. In the Spring Grow Irish Week, the class is separated into teams that compete to create a business pitch to company leaders.
Careers
Among Mendoza MS in Management class of 2023 graduates, 93 percent of the class accepted full-time jobs within six months of graduating. They accepted jobs with an average starting base salary of $77,000. 34.6 percent of the class entered the consulting industry, 11.5 percent entered the technology industry, and 11.5 percent entered the media/entertainment industry. To support career development, students in the Mendoza MSM program take a Bridge to Success course that includes one-on-one career coaching, connecting with Notre Dame alumni, and developing an individual brand. The Career Development group at Notre Dame also teaches Mendoza MSM students job search, interview, and resume writing skills.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
The total cost of tuition for Notre Dame Mendoza’s MS in Management program is $58,512. To apply for merit scholarships, applicants should fill out the scholarship portion in the application. To determine eligibility for federal aid and loans, students must fill out the FAFSA form. Additionally, students can find employment and assistantships on campus to fund their Mendoza education. The Mendoza school also notes that its location in South Bend, Indiana has a cost of living roughly 14 percent below the national average, which can help lower the external costs of attending Mendoza’s MSM program.
Admissions
The Notre Dame Mendoza MSM program seeks recent college graduates with a non-business undergraduate degree. However, the program accepts those who majored in economics or minored in business if the applicant has not completed more than 18 credit hours of business courses. Additionally, applicants should have between zero and two years of full-time professional work experience. Before starting the MS in Management course at Notre Dame, students should have completed a Microeconomics class.
