Overview

The Ohio State University Fisher Online Working Professional MBA is the online option of the Fisher Working Professional MBA program. When applying, students can opt to take either the online or in-person version of the course based on which learning format they believe will suit their schedule best. Students can also choose to take a mix of both learning formats, opting to attend some in-person and some online classes. The 48-credit program can be completed in two years, with most students completing the course in just under three years. 

Curriculum

The Fisher Online Working Professional MBA program requires 48 credit hours of which students complete 27 credits from 11 core courses, and 21 credits in elective courses. Some examples of core courses include Managerial Economics, Finance, and Strategy Formulation and Implementation. Elective courses cover areas such as marketing, data analytics, operations, and non-profit management. There are no required specializations, but students can choose to specialize in an area of study if desired. Classes can be taken in the evenings during the week or on Saturday in the late mornings.

The incoming class of the Fisher Working Professional MBA program (both in-person and online) is comprised of 221 students. The typical student has an average college GPA of 3.43 and has an average of 7.4 years of work experience. 4 percent of students attending the program are international, 38 percent are female, and 18 percent are U.S. minority students. The average GMAT score was 650, the average GRE score was 315, and the average EA score was 150. In terms of undergraduate majors, 37 percent of the class studied business, 32 percent studied social sciences, 23 percent studied arts and sciences, and 8 percent studied engineering. 

Careers

The average annual salary of students five months after graduation is $106,673. In terms of industry placement, 28.3 percent entered the financial services industry, 19.6 percent entered the technology industry, and 17.4 percent entered the consulting industry. Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The total Fisher Online Working Professionals MBA program tuition cost for non-Ohio residents is $89,740, and the in-state tuition for Ohio residents is $88,140. This does not include textbook and coursework fees that are about $1000 per semester. Students can apply for federal loans by completing the FAFSA form. For scholarships, Ohio State University directs its applicants to Scholarship Universe to determine the loans that an applicant may qualify for. Military members and veterans are eligible for in-state tuition rates. Private loans and Federal Work-Study programs can also be used to fund an education at Ohio State University. 

Admissions

To be eligible for the Fisher Online Working Professional MBA program at Ohio State University, applicants must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or international equivalent). Applicants are also required to have a minimum of two years of work experience. GMAT, GRE, or EA test scores are required, but waivers are available for applicants that fit certain academic and professional requirements.   To apply to the program, applicants should submit the following:
