Overview

Michigan’s Ross Master of Management (MM) program is a ten-month, full-time, in-person program located at University of Michigan’s campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ross’ MM program is seeking recent college graduates with up to two years of work experience who are pursuing a management degree to launch a business career. Given this focus, Ross’ MM program is not seeking applicants with undergraduate business degrees. For international students seeking a U.S. work visa, Ross’ MM program is not a STEM-designated degree program.

Curriculum

The Ross MM program begins in the summer with introductory workshops in Business Immersion, Applied Business Statistics and Analytics, as well as Applied Microeconomics. In the fall, students take core courses including Evaluating Financial Performance, Marketing Management, and Cost Measurement & Control. In the winter, students can take core courses such as Legal and Ethical Environment of Business and World Economy. Electives are also offered in the winter, including Global Supply Chain Management, Corporate Restructuring, and Financial Trading. In addition, students have opportunities to explore international business through a one to three-week trip abroad via Short-Term Global Experiences.

Careers

The average base salary for graduates of the Michigan Ross MM program is $70,000. Within six months of graduation from the program, 90 percent of students receive job offers.  Of the Ross MM graduates who accepted offers, two thirds accepted offers in five industries:  technology (14%), media/entertainment (14%), manufacturing (14%), health care (12%) and financial services (12%). To help students with career development, the Career Development Office at Michigan Ross offers self-assessments, industry-specific career coaching, career clubs, and networking opportunities. Workshops are offered on improving networking skills, resume writing, and cover letter writing.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The total cost of tuition for the Michigan Ross Master of Management program is $58,615 for non-Michigan residents and $53,615 for Michigan state residents. This does not include fees. In-state tuition is offered to veterans and military members. Students interested in merit scholarships should fill out the scholarship portion of the Ross MM application. To be eligible for federal loans such as the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan and Federal Direct Grad PLUS Loan, students must complete the FAFSA form. Private loans are also accepted but must be applied for outside of the Ross MM financial aid application.

Admissions

Applicants are required to have completed a Precalculus or Introduction to Statistics class prior to starting the Ross MM program. In addition, applicants that hold a business degree will not be accepted into the program, as the program is intended for students that have recently completed a non-business undergraduate degree. There is no minimum work requirement for acceptance into the Ross MM program, but applicants should have no more than two years of full-time professional work experience.
